Welcome to our Neighborhood
Ashmont Hill, one of Dorchester's most charming neighborhoods, boasts 40 acres of substantial, well-crafted, well-designed and well-preserved late-19th-century residences. It is a neighborhood with a diverse population, a fine assortment of late 19th and early 20th century homes, excellent public transportation and easy highway access, many cultural and recreational resources, and above all a strong sense of community.
Through fund raising events, social gatherings, and cooperative work, The Ashmont Hill Association strives to improve the quality of life on and around the Hill, and to foster a strong sense of community among all residents.
"You get a real sense of belonging to a community here. People are friendly, and they look out for each other."
"I've lived on Ashmont Hill for over sixty years, and I've stayed because this neighborhood gets better with each passing year."
Some of our neighbors have been here all their lives, others have just discovered Dorchester. Families with children of all ages, couples, singles, people from many cultures and lifestyles, all consider Ashmont Hill the best place to live in Boston. |
