Saturday, May 19 - 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The 33rd annual Ashmont Hill Yard Sale takes place on May 19. Sign-up and payment deadline is Saturday, May 12. Cost to participate is still $20 per location, plus $10 for each additional household sharing that location. There are special “kids-only” rates, and family or friends from outside Ashmont Hill are welcome to join you. The fees underwrite the extensive advertising that gets the word out throughout the Boston area and also pay for maps provided at every location, all orchestrated by yard sale guru Joe Gildea.

If you have limited items to sell, Joe suggests that you team up with a neighbor to reduce the number of locations and increase the appeal of your spot. If you have items to donate, Joe will put you in touch with one of the nonprofit groups that participate.

Spring Yard Waste Collection

Public Works will collect leaf and yard waste for composting for four weeks from April 30 through May 25. Place leaves and yard debris in large paper leaf bags or open barrel labeled “yard waste” at the curb by 7 a.m. on your regular weekly trash/recycling collecting day. (Call 617-635-4500 for stickers.)
